Semiahmoo Resort, Washington State
Semiahmoo Resort is located in the northern western part of the United States, in Washington state, in a city called Blaine, WA, Birch Bay, very close to the US – Canadian border. I got to spend couple of nights in this cool resort, where my experience can be rated with 5 stars.
Semiahmoo Resort which is a great option for people living in the both Washington state and British Columbia wanting to spend a relaxing weekend or celebrate any special occasion, possesses a good golf course, swimming pool, spa, and other indoor and outdoor sports activities.
Semiahmoo Resort, one of a kind location
As shown in the Google maps, you can see that the resort location is indeed special and unique. The beauty of that is, you don’t even have to cross a bridge or take a boat to get there. This resort has stunning views of Pacific Ocean, especially during the sunset (scroll down for sunset pictures). The property is located on a spit and is right on the water with Canada just across the bay. I was apprehensive that it would be too big of a resort but it wasn’t. It was easy to get around and didn’t feel impersonal.

Semiahmoo Resort – Grounds
The hotel is 3 storied and neither too big nor too small. I would say the same of the grounds as well. East side of the building faced the swimming pool and the car parking, while the west side has the fantastic sunsets, and also the view of waters and Canadian border. Even though I had AT&T network from my room, which faced the car parking, whenever I went to the west side, it would switch to “ROGERS”, the Canadian cell phone network signal. So that should give u an idea of how close you are to Canada.

The resort can host many conferences and this building, which at 3’o clock position to the main entrance hosts conferences

I was welcomed by a lovely resort host who took care of my luggage. The front desk person was equally awesome, very efficient in accommodating my requests. She gave me the map to the property and went over the details on everything that resort has to offer within a very short time.

Colorful Sunset, the best part of Semiahmoo Resort
Semiahmoo Resort sits on a spit that’s surrounded by water. As I mentioned earlier on the west side of the resort offers fantastic sunsest. You can walk across the shores or just relax to watch the sunset with bonfires.

Conclusion
Semiahmoo Resort and Spa is a great place for families, groups, golfing, and for conferences. There are many amenities within the property that one would definitely have a enjoyable experience. Most importantly the breathtaking sunsets that happen in the west side of the resort is not be missed. I saw few groups hanging outside with bonfires and singing songs during and after the sunset. The staff at this resort, right from the front desk, breakfast area, Starbucks, Spa and through out the property were very friendly, playing a huge part in my overall great experience. I would definitely recommend this resort.
